Privacy Policy

MoyMote does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There is no account, no cloud service, and no telemetry. The app only talks to devices on your own local network.

What data is collected

None. MoyMote does not collect analytics, usage statistics, crash reports, device identifiers, or any personal information. Neither the desktop app nor the phone control page sends data to us or to any third party.

How the app uses your network

MoyMote runs a small local web server on your PC, reachable only from devices on the same Wi-Fi network. Your phone connects to this server directly — not through the internet — after scanning a QR code shown on your PC. The QR code contains a connection key generated on your own device. This key is stored locally on your PC and, once used, in your phone's browser. It is never sent to us or to any server we operate, because we don't operate one.

Third parties

MoyMote does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking service. No data is shared with any third party.

Purchase data

MoyMote is distributed through the Microsoft Store. Your purchase (payment method, billing details, purchase history) is handled entirely by Microsoft under Microsoft's own privacy policy — we do not receive or store your payment information. Our only visibility into sales is aggregate reporting in Partner Center, which does not identify you personally.

Data retention

Since MoyMote does not collect personal data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our side. Your connection key stays on your own devices and is never transmitted to us.

Children's privacy

MoyMote is a utility for controlling desktop monitor hardware and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children, because it does not collect data at all.

Your rights

Because MoyMote holds no personal data about you, there is no account data, usage history, or profile to access, export, or delete on request — none exists. If you have questions about what this means for you, contact us below.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new effective date.
